Best Target Bit Rate for Megapixel Cameras
What is the best target rate to be maintained for Arecont Vision AV8185-DN model cameras while using Milestone Xprotect NVRMS.
I am trying with 1536 kbps as target bit rate but the images are very jerkier. I want to know what is the suggested kbps to have a real time live video. Can anyone help,please. I use H.264 compression codec

I think you are using good bit rate which is 1536Kbps. What is the problem you are facing?

i think i have found the problem. The AV Camera provides 6.5fps at the max resolution which is 2MP and we use 2MP here.May be that s the reason. If i reduce the resolution, the images get cropped..
