Dear Kumar
The CCD and also CMOS (+IP) is most effective under yellow light.
Please request from camera supplier the CCD or CMOS spectral characteristic.
Infrared light 850 nM effectively is only 20%.

Thanks for replying and for your valued suggestion.

My situation is the tender specifications released confirm that we need to install IR Cameras IP based only .Hence I am seeking advice to you and all on this Tech platform as I am sure I will get some good solution.

Hello IP cameras are not good for IR as they use CMOS chips.

I would recommend using Analog cameras and IP servers.

I am looking for Good quality IR Cameras IP based for City Surveillance.We will be requiring around 205 Cameras for our project.
The vendor should have an experience of Installation of IP Cameras of around 150 Cameras at some outdoor Public place in India.

Has anyone seen IP video search analytic software used in any city surveillance systems? I have not seen much penetration of this new and unique tool.

If you are referring to NYC Surveillance, this solution is with Genetec “Head End” and a variety of different cameras which include Analytics along with H.264 compression, a project that the NYC Counterterrorism is deploying due to the Federal Stimulus funding. The NYC Police Commissioner has evaluated a variety of IP software and has fund the Genetec to be most robust and as a result has made Genetec the Protocol for most of the NYC Agencies…

I make the best microphones and means of getting crystal clear audio into the DVR, server, network. All sorts of concealments as well as waterproof, body wires, etc. If it's microphone related, I'm the guy.
