My name is Rich and I am the business development manager at a US manufacturer of ( Wireless Video/Audio/Data Links ) Avalon RF in the El Cajon / San Diego, CA area. We do both standard analog RF links and the new COFDM digital method of transmission of same NTSC/PAL signal.
COFDM is unique in that it penetrates beyond belief urban area walls and or can go 45 miles+. This new technology is very robust and our receiver is dual receiver, dual antenna for best of received signal. We can remote antennas hundreds of feet no problem utilizing UHF down converters in the panel antennas in 2.4Ghz range and can add up to 6 - 15dbi panel antennas pointing in any direction. Receiver with a simple IP encoder can become a video / stereo audio point for IP as well. The COFDM error checking digital technology is simply stunning. Trenching is very expensive, now you can get into a new frame of mind and take the CC out of CCTV with a wireless link when it makes sense. You can put a full 720 x 480 or 720 x 576 pixel higher resolution NTSC or PAL camera on this system. In 3 months we will have full COFDM in HD. Yes, wireless 720I or 1080I or P etc...at 8 MHz bandwidth and 45 mile range with full HD resolution... think about it. We can also do ( wireless PTZ ), both ways over many miles.
